Creative Sculpture In this subject you can be creative using a range of techniques and materials such as balsa wood models, clay modelling, stone carving and plaster mould making.
Dance – Term 1 Students will be introduced to and study different dance styles such as Hip Hop, Funk, Jazz and Contemporary. They will learn correct techniques of each style using safe dance techniques.
Dance -Term 3 In this workshop students will learn choreography skills, through improvisation and dance making processes. Students are able to dance in any genre they like as they work in small groups to choreograph dance pieces.
Drama - Improvisation Students will have the opportunity to learn different techniques that will help them to create performances on the spot!
Drama - Different ways of acting Students learn many different conventions that will help themwith all aspects of acting with a focus on comedy.
Miniature Musical Creation of a miniature musical, involving script writing, stagecraft, props, basic musical ideas. Team production - students keep a workbook for keeping their records of musical ideas and script etc.
Multi Media - Term 2 In this workshop students will be introduced to the many applications, tools and layers of the digital editing and manipulation, using the program Adobe Photoshop.
Multi Media - Term 4 Students will be introduced to the theories and practices behind correct video camera techniques, developing story ideas, filming, editing, sound editing and finally creating their own short film.
Musical Styles From Renaissance to Contemporary, pick a style and follow that style through fashion, social conditions, could create some basic instruments,and produce a costumed performance of that style at the end of the alotted time period. Students keep a workbook for writing ideas and sketches, create very basic costumes.
Stencil Art This is a subject for those who enjoy creating stencils to make a range of artworks such as tags, airbrushed images, photograms and screen printed tea-shirts.
Visual Communication - Creative Graphics Students will use a variety of materials including computer to generate images for design of products such as CD COVERS T-shirts, Motor Vehicle design and Body Kits, DVDs Logos etc.
Visual Communication - Graphic Architecture and Building Students design building structures as well as a variety of architectural shapes, buildings and materials. Computer and design processes will be used throughout the unit. Suitable for all trades and apprenticships. |
