At Dromana College, the Mathematics Learning Domain focuses on helping our students develop a range of mathematical skills and understandings that can be applied in many future pathways. Whilst compulsory for Years 7 to 10, students are encouraged to continue with Mathematics in both Years 11 and 12.
Mathematics teachers work with students to modify their program to meet individual needs. All students at Dromana College are extensively assessed in Mathematics, and this assessment forms the basis for the student’s future learning program. These individual needs are addressed within mixed ability classes at Years 7 to 9 and more focused options at Years 10 to 12.

The Mathematics curriculum incorporates textbooks, websites, both scientific and CAS calculators, mathematics related software including Mathletics, puzzles, games, NAPLAN based problems and problem-solving activities.
