Strike Letter to Parents

Dear Parents/Guardians

We have been notified by members of the Australian Education Union that a number of their members will be taking industrial action on Thursday 7 June 2012, in support of their enterprise bargaining negotiations with the State Government.  As a consequence, we cannot staff a number of classes, students in Years 8 to 12 are not required at school on Thursday 7June.

 Students in Years 10 and 11 who have exams on Thursday 7 June 2012 must sit their scheduled exam on this day.  

• Period 1: Drama, Human Movement, Info Technology 
• Period 3: Studio Art, Systems, Drama, Health 

 Classes will continue as timetabled for students in Years 7 only.  In most cases students will not be taught by their regular teacher due to the industrial action.

 We understand that this may be an inconvenience; however, we must ensure that we can safely care for students in our charge on Thursday.
